Adding to my "Paradise Lost" Series

This painting is titled...
"One Day At A Time"...
the title is actually etched right into the
painting.

The paintings I listed on my
Wordless Wednesday post this week...
were pieces I had done in the weeks and months
preceding the loss of my husband.
Very reflective of that time in my life..
mostly the 'denial' and 'anger'
stages of grief.

(We won't even go into the bargaining and depression stages.)

Now that I believe I have finally made it to
the 'acceptance' stage...
I decided to add a few new pieces
to the "Paradise Lost" series.

Even though they seem a bit 'sad'...at first glance...
there's actually an underlying theme of
'hope'
in each one.

You have such an amazing way of expressing so much in your art, I can't wait till you post them. My mom passed away 16 years ago. I still think of the things she would love to have seen like laptops, facebook, Harry Potter and LOTR...and at Christmas, I always note the items I would like to give her because I know they would bring her joy...the pain fades, but the scar remains...
