New Sale In Shop

I've had my print sale in my Rustic Goth Shop for far too long...
so I decided
to end the print sale this past Sunday...

...in place of having all of the prints for sale...
I've set aside a section
"On Sale Now"
and I have placed selected
prints and assorted items
on sale.

I'll be changing the 'sale items'
every week or two.

New print in shop

This is a print....very different background...
of my
"Necromantic"
painting.

The background has not been
altered...
I took the first photos of the painting
without the flash...
and I liked that background better.

Since it did not show the actual colors in the painting...
I decided to turn it into a print.

New paintings in the Shop....

"The Necromantic"
is the newest painting in my
Rustic Goth Etsy Shop.

Jaime and I found some little pine wood plaques
on our outing to Hobby Lobby...
so I decided to do this little 'goth' painting
on one of those plaques.
(It really is much easier to paint on canvas.)

Anyway...my photos of this piece are 'wretched'...
maybe I need to sit down with the camera
manual and see if I can get some tips
on how to take decent pictures with this particular camera.

For one thing...the pictures are "HUGE" when I upload
them....so the photos pick up 'imperfections' that
are not noticeable to the 'naked eye'.
And...let me not get started on 'true colors'...

I'm thinking about 'photoshopping' this piece
and also offering it as a print...
I'll be able to smooth out the imperfections the camera picked up.

"Pumpkin Patch"
is a little 'Goth' ACEO I painted
as I begin to
"think Fall".

Again...it is so much better in person...
my photographing abilities being
as lacking as they are.

Harry Potter Trivia

I didn't make it to the auction...I ended up having
too many errands to run..
and it was 'family Sunday'....
so
maybe in a week or two...
we'll see.

I did make it to
'Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince'

I enjoyed it very much...
there is a or two scene that were added...
not in the book...

I was a bit confused about that...
I expected 'cuts'...didn't really count on 'additions'..

but...all in all...it was worth the wait!

Also...wanted to
let you know that I am writing yet another
blog...
I got so 'into' this movie
that I decided I had to do a quick blog
that covers each of the books
and movies.

I've gotten through Book one
so far.

Having some fun...

Oh my gosh....
I have become boring.

True...I may not always be
"the life of the party"...
but..
"I'M even BORED with me"
lately.

I tell my kids and grandkids that
"if I were them...I wouldn't want to come to my house"
It's just too BORING!

For thirty five years...my husband and I
(and how ever many kids we had at the time)
lived a bit of a 'gypsy' life style.
My husband worked for restaurant chains that
frequently transferred him from one state to another...
so we've lived in
California, Nevada, Washington,
Wyoming, Nebraska, Iowa and
Tennessee.

We often left a lot of the boxes packed...so we wouldn't
have as much to pack for the next move.
It was really a lot of fun...
though some of my children wished
we would have put down roots
somewhere.
But...then I remind them of which family
members wouldn't 'be here' if we'd have done that...
and all is 'forgiven'.

Anyway...getting a little taste of having fun...
with our 4th of July trip...
I'm determined to 'have more fun'.

So...we went to the Harry Potter movie
(more on that later)
and I want to go to some estate auctions this week-end.
You can really get some major treasures for almost nothing...
I haven't been for several years...
so I'm looking forward to attending an auction
this week-end.

I could turn some of those 'treasures' into real gems
with a little creativity and imagination.

I'll let you know how that turns out!

Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince

Pretty much everyone in my
family
are quite the
Harry Potter fans.
We've read the books
(multiple times)...
a few even have the audio books
that they listen to...over and over!

It was no surprise that my daughter
purchased
Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince
game.

Here's a brief preview of the game....

And...here's a link so you can get the best prices on Amazon!

New paintings listed...

Yay!
I finally got some new paintings finished!

These are my three latest paintings...
I've linked each picture to
the corresponding listing in my
Rustic Goth Etsy Shop.

I was really pleased with how these
turned out...
I do wished I could take better
photos.

Check out my new website.

While I was "on-internet-vacation"
I also set up a new little
Rustic Goth website.

It's a little free site
and nothing too fancy...
but, I am pleased with it.

I will be offering some of the
'no longer available'
Rustic Goth pieces
exclusively
through this little site.

New -- IN the Shop

Here are three New/old
pieces
now in my Rustic Goth Etsy Shop.
They are all prints of my original paintings
that have been digitally enhanced in
Photoshop.
I find that enhancing photos of my paintings
gives a cleaner print.
