Wearable Art Still Available on Etsy

Both my shop and Jaime's are kept busy enough
with the paintings and prints,
that we really had a difficult time staying on top of things like
wearable art, functional art and even the calendars.

So...we both decided to pull the wearable and functional art
out of our shops
and not offer them there anymore.

Since my oldest daughter, Wendy, was making a lot
of the wearable art for me...
my vision is not conducive to working on such small items...
she actually was a little saddened when I told her
she wouldn't need to worry about making them anymore.
I guess it was something she really enjoyed doing once or twice each week.

So...we decided to open
together,
and offer my wearable art,
Jaime's wearable art...
and then some fun prints that any one of us
could do, to kind of 'round' the store out. Although the
prints may 'go away' once we have
enough wearable art in the shop.

And...we actually have some new design bracelets and rings...
as well as the Scrabble Tile pendants.
Very shortly we will also have some
Locket pendants.
We're considering offering some pocket mirrors
too.
Basically 'boutique' type of items...
that way everyone can share in the work
and the profits...
plus it's a fun way to spend time with my girls.

Last day for Rustic Goth Wearable Art

 I think I have mentioned
that I will be discontinuing my
wearable art line
in my Etsy Shop.

Thursday is the last day I will offer
wearable art in any of my shops.

Truth is...my eyesight isn't what it used to be...
and it's getting more difficult for me to see
what I'm doing...so I'm discontinuing it completely.

Thanks so much to everyone who purchased or admired
these fun little pieces. I do so appreciate you:)

Wearable Art Changes

I had a bit of a 'disaster' with my latest Scrabble Tile pendants.
The bails that attached the tile to the chain I received were 'crap'....
I didn't realize this at first...
although one of my daughters said she thought
they were lighter weight than the ones we had been
using (from the same seller)...

Well...long story short...they started arriving in pieces...
Oh my gosh...
can you imagine my horror and panic!!!

I went directly online and most of the suppliers I normally use
were on Holiday Vacation.

I had to run around town trying to find something comparable...
NOTHING!

So I had to 'make do' with what I could find...
something that doesn't set well with me.

I've since switched to Aanraku bails...
they are way more expensive...but I've used them in the past
and have had no problems with them.

But...since they are as pricey as they are...
I've decided to make all of my Scrabble Tile pendants...
'made to order'...
This was I'm not 'wasting' any of the pricey bails
on pendants that just sit in my finished pendant box.

Making to order might add a few days to my shipping times...but I
still think I can ship in the 5 business day goal I've set.

New In Shop

It's been a busy day
taking photos and trying to
get a few new
pieces listed in the Shop.

So...while I have a
minute or two...
I thought I'd post a quick
"shop update"

If they're not already listed...
I will have all of these
wearable art pieces
up for sell
by the end of the day
Monday.

Coming Soon

We are almost done with a new batch
of
'wearable art' pendants.
We're doing most of them for this next
week-end's show...
but,
I plan to list a few
in my shop...

I'll be listing those
later this week...or early next week.

Also...on the way...I've finally ordered
a new batch of
pocket mirrors.
I ordered half of the mirrors
for the show
and the other half...
for the shop.
Those will be listed,
hopefully,
by the week-end.

The shop listings
depend on how far behind
I am at getting
everything ready for the show...
not to mention
the commission painting I'm
working on at the same time.

So sorry...I failed to mention WHAT show
we will be doing this week-end...
It's the
"Seasons of Crafts"
at the
Lancaster Event Center.

If you click directly onto the
show...you can get a map if you need one.
