Jaime's Zazzle

Jaime has been putting quite a few pieces
in her Melancholy Dwelling Zazzle Store.

I love the shoes and anxious to
see what new
things she'll be putting in her shop.

Shop Update...

I have been working hard
creating and 're-creating' new pieces
for my Rustic Goth Etsy Shop.

I decided to put the shop
during the week that I knew my cable
would be intermittent.
(I think it isn't working any better now
than it was before...)

At that time, I was just going to
relist everything that was already in the shop
once my internet problems were corrected.
But...once I was 'removed' from the
daily operation of running the occurred to me
that I really need to make some changes.
So....I have!
A few of the old pieces will be
returned to the shop...
but quite a few pieces will no longer be
available in my Etsy Shop.

I wanted to have everything ready by July 1st...
we received an 'invite' to go out of state..
to visit extended family during the week-end of the 4th.

Since I will actually be
On Vacation
I'm not sure if I will open my shop on the 1st...
(UPDATE -- I did re-open my Shop on the 2nd...)
or wait until I get back.
Or...knowing myself as I do...
I could just decide..
"what the heck...just reopen the shop
and fill it as I get pieces completed"... just 'never know' with me..
I guess I'd better decide soon!

Art Cards Wanted

I have items in sooo many places that have
been rather 'neglected'
as I have paid a bit too much attention
to my Etsy shops.

Having taken this vacation time...
to redo the Rustic Goth shop...
has also given me a bit more time to concentrate
on several of the other sites that
needed 'tending to'.

One of those sites is
Art Cards Wanted

I've taken this time to offer Limited Edition
ACEOs of several of my most popular prints
that have never been offered in this size.

Go ahead and check it out

Doing some Google searching...

even though I've got so much
I NEED to be doing...
I just like to spend a few minutes
"Googling" myself. this case...
Rustic Goth.

I think it important to find out
where I'm 'at'...just to be sure there's nothing
going on with my art.

I suppose it stems from seeing so many of the
'rip-off' artists that have been
stealing the work of artists that I am familiar with...
having listed beside them on eBay.
In many cases, these artists actually 'rip-off' the
photos the artists listed...right off Etsy...complete with the
eBay watermark in the corner.

Just last 'scammer' from Beijing listed a piece
I immediately identified as a
Michael Angel original.
It was actually the picture he had put in his
eBay listing.

They came on Etsy...opened a shop...filled it with items
they had totally ripped off of legitimate artists...
managed to sell an item or two
they were booted off.

Normally these scammers are 'caught'
and kicked-off...
often they have sold an item or so
before that happens though.

I don't know if the buyers are actually receiving anything
or not...
anyway...I just like to check for these kinds of
though I'm not sure how 'Googling' myself will help.

My Etsy Shop is 'on Vacation'

My Rustic Goth Etsy Shop
is currently closed while
I take some
much needed 'vacation' time.

I am using this time to do a
'bunch' of "new" pieces
for the shop.

I will reopen the shop
sometime in the next week or two...
with a number of new
(most of the old prints will not be put back in the shop)
and a few new paintings.

I am also in the process of putting
up a Rustic Goth website...
it's a little 'free site'
but, I plan to offer some of the prints
no longer available on Etsy...
through my website
for anyone who might be interested.

In Memory.....

It's June 18th...three years since
my husband lost his battle with cancer.

For is important
to "share with the world" a few
brief moments captured in his life..

I'm just 'warning' you..
I know some folks are fans of
'memory lane'
especially someone else's memories...

but..this is something I started doing
on the first anniversary...
and something I 'choose' to continue to do.

New Products in Rustic Goth Zazzle

I have been so bad about neglecting my
Rustic Goth Zazzle Store.

I've been somewhat better at the
CMZ Art Zazzle Store....but only slightly.

But...I spent last week-end working on new products
in both stores.
What is really cool....
I have designed some really great
Keds Shoes
based on a few of my original paintings.

My 'availability'

I wanted to post a quick note
to say..
'chances are pretty good
that my 'availability' will be sporadic
through the week-end
and into next week.

My internet connectivity has been
'frustrating' at best.
Between lengthy phone calls
with Tech Support
and home visits
(which I do not like...they always
schedule a four hour time slot...and NEVER show
up until four hours PLUS have passed).

So..when the cable guy came out
this past week...he tests all the lines..the cable modem..

He finally goes outside...tests all the lines and wires out there...
apparently tree limbs and branches have become all
entangled with the wires...
and there's something also wrong with whatever it is
that is sitting out on a pole out back... the meantime...I have very sporadic service...
and they still haven't come out
to work on the problem out back.

So...I'm taking an 'internet vacation'...

I cannot tell you how frustrating these past few weeks
have been!
(my service has never been what I pay for) mean to tell me I'm paying THAT much for THIS service...
doesn't really 'move' anyone at the cable office..

so..for my own 'peace of mind'...
I'm going to quit 'fighting my internet' until it is
finally repaired and will stay on longer
than 20 minutes at a time!

I will respond to any convos...emails...etc..
as and 'if' I can...
if not..I'll get back to you sometime after the 18th!

'YART' Sale on Etsy

So, "what", you say, "is a 'YART' Sale?"

There are many art museums, artists, and groups that have yart sales annually to raise cash. The first 'annual YART' sale was held on Etsy last year, by the Etsy Suppliers Street Team.

This year it has been extended to any shop who wishes to participate.
Originally, I was going to end my sale on the 10th...and discovered the 'YART' sale would be held from the 10th to the figured, 'what the heck?' sale has been extended another 5 days!

New paintings on Etsy

I was busy this week-end.....
