Still buried....

My gosh...I am still so buried...

I haven't yet completed my 'Joey the Bat' painting...

thank goodness Daly is so very patient!

I'm caught up to 10 business days shipping and my

shipping policy is 7-10 business days...

but...

I really prefer to get everything out within 7 days

whenever possible...

otherwise I feel like I am so very far behind.

Then...it 'dawned' on me that our first show

is coming up September 18th...

YIKES!!

So...I am far..far behind in reading my favorite blogs...

I haven't done many new paintings or digital pieces...

I just feel '''still buried'''!

I really am thinking seriously about putting the

shop on a short 'vacation'.

I think once I get the shipping to within 7 days...

I'll feel much better!

A bit of a Set Back

Losing my computer...during a Sale...isn't good.

It's created a bit of a 'set back' for all that I had

planned to get accomplished during this time.

Normally, I do only ship once or twice a week...but

I'm usually getting everything all packaged and ready to go.

I'll be all caught up by the end of the week...

but I'll have to put everything else 'on hold' until I am.

I still have to do my Joey the Bat painting...

(those pictures went down with my computer)

so that may be the only painting I work on during the week.

For now...I'm not going to post until I am caught up...

except little updates on my Facebook Page.

Shipping update...

I really 'hate' getting behind on shipping.  I swear...if I could afford it...I'd have 10 copies

of  each of my prints, all sleeved, filed and ready to go at a moment's notice.

I tried to have several copies of each print, when I first started offering them.

Needless to say...it didn't work.

I was ALWAYS selling the prints that I didn't have

on hand...and the ones I did have on hand

just kind of 'sat' there.

So...then I decided to just keep on hand those prints that

WERE selling...you know what...they quit selling.

What the heck????

Since I couldn't really afford to 'waste' that much paper, ink

and time...I had to go to 'print to order'.

Only problem with that is...I don't have the printer at my house...

and, for some reason, our local suppliers tend to

be constantly running out of some of the

supplies essential to our keeping on top of timely shipping.

This week...no different...back orders on some of

the inks necessary for our prints.

And..you would not believe how much ink we go through!

So...anyway...the ink got in on Saturday...but I didn't get my prints

until today...so I'm in the middle of getting

my shipping all caught up!

I'm trying to send a little

something extra with those that are beyond the 10

business days...as a 'thank you' for your patience...

and a 'sorry' it took so danged long.

All April purchases have 

"finally"

been shipped...or are in the process

of being shipped.

I just hate getting behind on shipping.

Every time I think I have my shipping problems 'solved'

a new problem seems to pop up...

does the 'universe' know how 'crazy' this makes me?

But..anyway...I'm caught up -- ALMOST!!

And that's a good thing!

I'm working on some new special orders for a couple

lovely ladies...

and I'm also working on a series of

digital illustrations based on the stories and poems of

Edgar Allan Poe.

I'm holding this to list, when I have

the first 3 or 4 completed.

I've also begun a new series of

11" x 14"

Alice in Wonderland

paintings.

Getting All Caught Up

I think I've said before that I'm a little

"OCD"

about a number of things...and shipping is high on my list

of things that I 'obsess' about.

I had to go to weekly shipping....because I found, especially if I've

had a really good week...

that I could get caught up in shipping and let other things...

like creating new pieces..

fall by the way side.

So...I'm okay with weekly shipping...UNTIL...I have what happened

this past week...

We ran out of ink for the prints...we really do go through that stuff...and it's

definitely not cheap...

but..on occasion our local supply is out of one or more of the colors we need...

YIKES!!

Anyway...we are finally back on track...I have

all but two orders SHIPPED.

The two orders that are left will go out on

Monday or Tuesday..

(I'm making an 'exception'..because of the ink situation..

and shipping twice this next week.)

Shipping Delays...

I just wanted to let everyone who won a 2010 Calendar know that there has

been a slight delay in shipping.

I'm a bit behind in all of my shipping due to a combination of the large

amount of snow we've gotten in the Midwest since Christmas..and the

Holidays. (I have a good sized family.)

Part of the problem have been getting
the supplies we need for both printing and shipping...
there have been major delays in
getting our supply orders in order to fulfill
our own orders.

Now that things have 'calmed down a bit'...I am working on getting

everything shipped ASAP.

Thanks for all of your patience.
