A Halloween Piece

I've been noticing quite a few

Halloween items lately...

and I couldn't resist having a little

fun doing this cute little

Halloween witch.

I actually 'borrowed' her from

one of my Zazzle images

and put her in a different setting.

I like her, even though she

doesn't appear all that scary!

The Tragedies...

"Ophelia"

The first in my 'Tragedies' series.

"Shakespeare's, Ophelia,... is Hamlet's lover. And, as such, she witnesses his irratic and bizarre behavior, enduring his rejection and humilation, while being used by her father in order to manipulate Hamlet.

When she learns that her beloved Hamlet has violently murdered her father, she succumbs to madness, and drowns herself."

This is 'Ophelia's' story...in a nutshell.

I will take other 'Tragedies from Literature' to fill out this series.

Larger prints coming...

"Just Chillin'"

is the fourth original digital print

in my 'Ghostlings' series.

...and...

it's the first print in the shop

larger than 8 x 10".

I have it listed at 11" x 14".

Our new printer got here yesterday...and it is great!

I've already printed a custom order of

ACEO Limited Edition prints

and they came out so GREAT!

I'm very excited that ALL of our prints

will be printed on this printer

and that I can

now offer prints up to 13" x 19" in size.

A day off???

I'd like to take the day off...

I deserve it!

I've worked until the late hours of the morning

for several days in a row now...

and I really am tired!

But, we'll see..

our printer should be here

sometime today!

We're so anxious to start listing

larger prints in the shops!

Antivirus 2009???

I don't know how many people

are being 'harassed' by a pop up

I have no idea if it is actually from

windows...

though I think i would come

in their frequent uploads..if it actually were them!

I really am hoping

it's not some kind of a bug

my computer has contracted!

I know that Jaime is having the same

thing on her computer!

I think it's done!

I think this piece

may be done...

I'll leave it for a few

days..

I really need to think of a clever title...

just to be sure I'm happy with it.

I've got more pieces in the works

and I'm hoping I can

have all of them on

by the week-end!

We've ordered a new printer..

We've finally ordered

our new printer.

It's a nice big Canon

that we 'test drove' at our

local

Best Buy.

The prints come out

absolutely exquisite! I'm very excited

for it to get here

so we can get all

switched over.

We'll be able to offer prints

on German Etching Paper,

Velvet Lustre Paper,

Real Canvas Paper

in sizes up to 13" x 19".

It will really open up a lot of new

possibilities for our

original art prints.

The expected delivery date is Sept 3rd..

so we hope to have all papers, inks, etc

ready so that we can begin

offering the new prints

no later than mid September.

ACEOs

I've got a few

original ACEO/ ATC paintings

left in the shop.

They've been marked down

more than 30%

and will be available

through Sunday -- August 24th.

Beginning Monday..the 25th..

I will no longer offer ACEO prints or ACEO paintings

in either

of my Etsy Shops.

Still no 'sneek peek'

Believe it or not...

I've been working like crazy.

But...little of the work I've done

has been for my Rustic Goth Etsy Shop.

I've got a couple of

shops

off Etsy...

and every so often..

I really need to pay some attention to those shops.

So..

that's what I've been doing

most of the week.

Hopefully I'll be able to start

on some new pieces to list soon.

Pendant or print?

I worked on this piece

especially to turn into a pendant..

I think it would make a really nice pendant.

Now

I'm trying to decide whether or not

to offer it as a print as well.

She is my little

"Ghostling Girl"

and I thought it looked great

on a very minimal background.

I'm trying to decide

I'm thinking about pulling a few of my older

pieces

'out of retirement'

for a brief appearance

in my shop

this fall.

I haven't decided one way or the other

yet!

But there may be a few of

these pieces that show up

in one way or another..

I don't know what is going around...

...but, I am now into

week 3

of some kind of respiratory illness or

summer cold..

an ailment that just seems to 'hang on'...

So far...nothing has helped...I'm just ready

for it to go away!

I really need to

get some work done!

ACEO Sale

I have lowered the price on all of my ACEOs.

This will be the last, of this sized painting...at least for now.

I have a few left in the shop and I will be pulling any that do not sell, later this week, in order to make room for the new items that I am currently working on.

Thinking Ahead...

It seems a bit strange,

even for me,

to start thinking ahead

to Christmas

when it's only the middle of August.

This is pretty bright

for a Rustic Goth piece...

but, it's my first print for the upcoming

Christmas Season.

I'm getting tired...

I'm usually

heading for bed

when most people are

just getting up!

These hours

just work better for me!

I've kept them for so long now.

I plan on

taking the week-end

to do whatever I please...

"Out Here Alone"

New event....computer toss!

If it weren't for the fact that I've been sick for

almost a week -- (a direct effect from my air conditioning problems) --

I think I would have had my own 'Olympic' event...the "computer toss"!

Then, I decided, it wasn't really my computer

it was my cable provider...and I can't really 'toss' them...

but it is oh so frustrating

to have a bunch of items that need to be

shipped

and not have access to the internet

so that I can get everything I need to complete the transaction!!!

As a result

I am really backed up on shipping!!

But, I've managed to get what I need...even though it was twice as much work...

and I have almost everything ready to carry to the post office.

Everything will be shipped

by August 14th!!

My shipping is not really late...late...

except by my own standards!

digital originals I

have finished are

some of the best

I've done yet this year.

It's coming together....

In spite of late 'starts'...I'm staying up late...working hard...and 'almost' caught up!

I wished I hadn't lost 'close to a week' that I could work---with the heat and all---but, I'm satisfied at everything that is getting done.

As soon as this 'working vacation' has ended --- tomorrow --- I hope to be able to show some of what I've worked so hard on!

Putting the 'games' on and working my fingers to the bone!

I'm still

"hard at work"!

And...my house looks it!

Low profile week-end.

I have so much work to catch up on

for both shops.

My son-in-law fixed my air conditioning..so I can

finally work again!

I am going to try

very very hard

to catch up two weeks worth of work

over the course of ONE week-end!

But, I'm putting everything else

on the 'back burner'.

We'll see how it goes!!

I'm having some fun...

I don't really have anything to 'show and tell'

I quickly put this little 'witch' together

just to have a photo to go with my notes...

I've been very diligently sketching out

some new ideas and pieces

especially for Fall and Halloween.

It's been a lot of fun!

And...I've been working on

some new pendants...that are very cool...1

I really hope I can have them in the shop

by the first of next week.

It depends on whether or not

the supplies we've ordered

arrive in time!

My poor dolls

keep taking a

'back seat'

I really must set aside

maybe even a whole week

to work on those!

A quick F.Y.I.....

I've finally got ALL of my paintings

and ALL of my mirrors

listed in the shop.

Originally, it was my intention to list something new everyday, or as close to everyday as possible,

this has just become too demanding.

I'm sooo busy at the moment, getting everything underway for the Fall Season, (and dealing with the EXTREME heat) that I'm going to have to cut my new listings back to once or twice weekly.

I have got some wonderful pendants in the works!

As soon as I think I have a good enough variety completed,

I will list all of them at once.

I've put up a new 'banner'

This is my new 'banner' in my Rustic Goth Etsy Shop.

At least, it started out to be my new banner.

This is what I ended up

with.

Since the banners have to be sized a little different than what I'm used to....it ended up more 'distorted' than I hoped it would.

I'm seriously thinking about designing something a bit more specific to the shop...

hopefully I'll be able to squeeze a few minutes (or hours more like it) from somewhere so I can come up with something that I will really LOVE!

I've Fallen A Little Behind...

I'm not actually taking a 'break'

not on purpose anyway!

The house and the studio have just been

too damned hot to get anything done.

I've got a small window air conditioner in the studio...

and I put in yet another window air conditioner in my living room

just to try to stay cool enough

to stay on top of things.

I've got someone coming to look

at the central air unit

...

maybe it's the compressor

or something.

In the meantime

I'm trying to get all of my packing done

and everything mailed out...

----

then,

I'll probably work mostly

on digital originals

(I really don't want to move around too much in this heat)

until the temperature finally drops into the low 90's!

Oh...I do complain just tooooo much!

I'll have to do something about that.

It is Sooo Hot!

Oh my gosh....it is soooooo hot!

My central air conditioner keeps

tripping the circuit breaker...

that can't be good!

And...I've moved

my studio upstairs...ohhhh nooo!

It is sooo hot up there..

and I've put in a window air conditioner.

Problem is..

my print center/ shipping center

(and now...jewelry making center)

is in the other room

the one WITHOUT the air conditioner.

So, I'm just not moving

as fast as I would like to...

and I probably won't

until there is a bit

of a cool spell.

A Few Mirrors

I've got my first mirrors

listed in the shop

They came in a couple of

days ago

and I really love how

they turned out.

I've got several more

designs that I will be listing

in the next day or two...

I've got

more pendants on the way...

I'm waiting on some

chokers and a few

other findings

so that I can

get them finished.

My Christmas in July...3-4-2 Print Sale

has ended!

It seemed a good time to

retire a BUNCH of my Prints!

My Shop looks pretty barren at the moment.

But, NOT FOR LONG....I'll start "filling up the 'shelves' " this week-end.

My mirrors have arrived...

and I will be listing those.

I've got a few new pendants finished...they are gorgeous!

I've redesigned the pattern of my dolls and

they are coming along...(I'm hoping to begin listing those in a couple of weeks.)

And...there's more..more..more.....on the way!
